Chromogranin A (CgA)

Chromogranin A (CgA)

Used for the determination of Chromogranin A (CgA) concentration in human EDTA plasma using the Dako CgAnalyze ELISA kit.

Instrument: Manual assay

Specimen Type: EDTA Plasma

Volume per test: 2 x 50uL (min volume 200uL)

Principle:

Patient samples, calibrators, and controls are diluted 5x with diluent in a primary dilution plate. The diluted material is transferred to the microtitre wells of the assay plate and incubated at room temperature for 60 minutes. During this time, a monoclonal antibody captures the chromogranin A to the surface of the well. After washing to remove unbound material, a second horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labelled monoclonal antibody is added to detect the chromogranin A bound to the wells. After incubation for 30 minutes, the wells are washed and a colour substrate is added and incubated. The colour development is stopped after 15 minutes and the colour is measured using a spectrophotometer. The colour is directly proportional to the amount of chromogranin A bound to the well. The amount of CgA is determined by comparison with the colour development of the calibrator samples.

Testing Range: 4.52-1800 ng/mL
