Cystatin C
Used for the determination of Cystatin C in human serum on the Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600 Synchron Clinical System using the Gentian Cystatin C Immunoassay kit.
Instrument: Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600
Specimen Type: Serum
NOTE: Unable to report results for grossly hemolyzed specimens.
Volume per test: 5uL (min volume 125uL)
Principle:
Cystatin C in the specimen combines with anti Cystatin C coated on immunoparticles in the reagent, and the resultant immune complex absorbs light. Light absorption is quantified turbidimetrically, and is directly proportional to Cystatin C concentration in the specimen. A 6-point standard curve is generated using the Gentian Cystatin C calibrator Kit, and specimen concentrations are interpolated via this curve. Cystatin C on the DxC600 is a User Defined Reagent (UDR). All parameters for this assay were manually entered on the instrument using the Gentian Cystatin C Immunoassay Kit insert “Instrument Parameters”.
Testing Range: 0.40-8.00 mg/L
